I've loaded windows on the drive without issue using a uefi boot, but can't figure out how to make it a boot drive. The computer will then bring you back to the beginning Windows 10 Setup screen. Feb 8, 2023 · I have been trying to build myself up a Z620 workstation for a while now, and I think I finally have all of the parts that I need and this is giving me gout. There are lots of different posts across the internet and they don’t all seem to agree with one another and a lot have old, outdated information. The flashing procedure is done with software only, and no BIOS chip clips or desoldering. Yeah it sounds like your bios isn't setup to see NVME drives. And as things were cheap on ebay, and I have a Z620, I thought I would have a play, and possible add to the known working list. The OEM info from isdct says Oracle, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. The REFIND automatic boot screen will now (on this boot) have a 4-pane Windows logo on the left, and the three circles (you saw before) on the right. Thanks. . Jun 10, 2024 · Works the same as z620, I could enter the manufacturing mode with j207, and direct flash with fpt prior j396 backup on top of j207 in BIOS region!!! Full write access works. It's my understanding that that as long as you have the newest firmware, one is supposed to be able to boot from a NVME drive in a Z620 workstation.
